Sally’s Diner - Orlando
About This Spot
Stepping into Sally’s Diner is like slipping into a familiar rhythm of a bygone era. The welcoming hum of friendly chatter mingles with the soft clatter of dishes and the occasional sizzle from the kitchen. It’s a spot where time slows just enough for you to settle in, feel at ease, and let the pace of life soften around you. The worn but comfortable booths and retro 50s diner touches invite both locals and visitors to linger over their meal and conversation.
The mood here leans into comforting simplicity, where genuine warmth from the staff wraps around you like an old friend’s embrace. You might catch the server’s smile before your order lands, knowing many tables here are tended by familiar faces who remember your usual or just the way you take your coffee. It’s that sort of neighborhood gem where personal touches make the food taste even better.
At the heart of this experience is the food — a sincere celebration of Southern classics served with care. The kind of dishes that feel like a home-cooked memory unfolding on your plate, whether it’s a generous omelette brimming with flavorful fillings, perfectly fried catfish with a hint of Cajun spice, or a plate piled high with fresh vegetables that balance the richness. Each bite is a gentle reminder of what diner meals are all about: comfort, tradition, and that satisfying blend of hearty and simple.
What stands out most is the unpretentious charm that invites repeat visits. The atmosphere encourages slowing down, sharing stories, and enjoying friendly moments without rushing. While the décor carries the marks of many Sunday breakfasts and casual lunches past, that weathered character only adds to the sense of place—a local hearth where good food and genuine connection rise to the top.

Great friendly service, food was well seasoned. Biscuits and gravy were delicious, eggs were a little under over easy and bacon wasn’t soft as requested. But overall great place. Gloria was a sweetheart

Sally's is a southern style (meat and 3) diner, with great food and service. We often go at lunch time, but usually order breakfast food. I like the Southern Omelette, filled with sausage and bacon, topped with sausage gravy. My wife prefers an egg and sausage patty combo. And get the grilled biscuit!

New ownership from Chubby’s but still great food. Awesome simply Awesome!! Eddie was our waiter, great service. My wife had Tuna Fish melt was huge with golden crispy fries. I had an omelette with grilled potatoes with onions & green peppers.

This is a spot for locals. Where the waitresses know you're name and what you're gonna order. It's like hanging a home cooked meal without paying an arm and a leg for it. The place has a charming 50s dinner ambiance and the tables and seats might be worn out but you'll be enjoying for breakfast or lunch without giving it a second thought. You'll even enjoy fantastic service, warm greetings, and even conversation from the friendly staff. Nothing beats it and I love every single visit!

Old school traditional breakfast facility that you'd find back in the 80s and 90s. Boy do I miss those days; especially after eating here. I'll keep it brief and to the point. The staff was excellent, attentive, and friendly. The menu is extensive, with something for everybody... and the prices were unbelievably reasonable for today's world. The tables and physical plant were clean and constantly attended to.I didn't feel like I was being stolen from or taken advantage of because of the economic situation in our country right now. The physical plant is dated and needs some TLC, but to be honest that's what makes it sort of cool, everything still is functional and works and is comfortable, and I like it. I feel like I stepped back into 1986 with the decor lol. I ordered the French toast and a chocolate muffin. The French toast was served very fancy style... they made it look even more delicious and it was excellent and generous. The place was packed when I arrived, and there was a great flow of people going in and out constantly while I was eating.. This is an excellent sign that this is a good/popular place.I will definitely be going back when I'm on this side of town again for business and I suggest you do too. For a complete breakfast with a side and coffee I got out of there for less than 20 bucks. Kudos to the restaurant and their staff keep up the great work.

This place has some really delicious breakfast. I suggest you don’t sleep on this spot. This is the one on Colonial in. The plaza next to Napa Auto Part. The staff is great and the service is on point’
